This policy covers the Janti Chat voice-chat app: what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, profile picture, country, and date of birth (optional).
- Usage data: the rooms you join, messages, gifts, and in-app transactions.
- Audio: your voice streams live to everyone in the room while your microphone is on. It is never recorded or stored on our servers.
- A push token, used to send notifications if you granted permission.
How we use it
To run the core features (voice rooms, chat, gifts, wallet), to improve the experience, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to send you notifications that concern you.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data. Voice calls are carried by our infrastructure provider LiveKit, and notifications are delivered through Expo. No third party receives your data for marketing.
Permissions
- Microphone: only to speak in voice rooms.
- Photos and camera: only to set a profile picture.
- Notifications: only for alerts, and you can turn them off in your device settings.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed (scrypt) and we never see them in the clear. Sessions are protected with JWT, and all traffic to our servers is HTTPS only.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account in the app: Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete account. Your account data is removed from our systems within 30 days. You can also email us to request deletion.

The app is intended for users aged 18 and over.
